  • Ocean KO from GGPoker combines Progressive Knockouts with random bounty multipliers ranging from 0.4x to 400x.
  • Each knockout splits the bounty: half is paid instantly, half is added to the winner’s progressive bounty.
  • Legendary tiers allow bounty prizes up to $1.5 million, significantly increasing the game’s variance.
Ocean KO: bounties just got bigger from the get-go.
GGPoker has introduced Ocean KO, a new tournament format combining Progressive Knockouts with random jackpot-style bounty multipliers.

The concept is straightforward. Every player starts with a bounty, knockouts generate immediate cash, and the RNG can then multiply the bounty value from 0.4x to 400x in the standard tiers.

What Is GGPoker Ocean KO?

Ocean KO is essentially a Jackpot PKO, or JPKO.

It keeps the familiar PKO structure but replaces the fixed knockout value with a random multiplier. But GGPoker did spice it up a little.

When a player scores a knockout, the bounty is multiplied and the resulting prize is split 50/50. Half is paid immediately in cash, while the other half is added to the winner's progressive bounty.

Ocean KO Multipliers Range From 0.4x to 400x

The standard Ocean KO levels run from Egg to Shark, with multiplier ranges between 0.4x and 400x.
Using a $5 starting bounty as an example, a 400x result creates a $2,000 bounty prize.
Multiplier$5 Starting BountyCash PaidAdded to Bounty
400x$2,000$1,000$1,000.00
100x$500$250$250
10x$50$25$25
1x$5$2.50$2.50
0.4x$2$1$1
The average multiplier is exactly 1x, but 72.3% of spins land below 1x. The rare 400x result appears roughly once every 50,000 bounties at the lowest tier.

Ocean KO Levels

Players move through the standard levels as their progressive bounty increases.
LevelTierBounty Threshold
$1Egg0.5x buy-in
$2Fry0.6x
$3Fish0.75x
4Shrimp1x
5Crab1.5x
6Turtle2.5x
7Octopus5x
8Dolphin10x
9Whale20x
10Shark50x
The bigger the bounty becomes, the narrower the multiplier range gets.

Then Come the Legendary Tiers

This is the spice we talked about earlier.

The standard Shark tier is not the end of the Ocean KO ladder.

Four additional Legendary levels start at much larger bounty values:
Legendary TierBounty ThresholdMultiplier Range
Legendary Octopus$10,0000.5x to 10x
Legendary Dolphin$50,0000.6x to 3x
Legendary Whale$250,0000.7x to 2x
Legendary Shark$1,000,0000.8x to 1.5x
A Legendary Shark bounty of $1 million can therefore produce a $1.5 million bounty prize, with $750,000 paid immediately and another $750,000 added to the winner's bounty.

Ocean KO Key Numbers

  • 0.4x to 400x standard multiplier range
  • 1x average multiplier
  • 72.3% of spins below 1x
  • Roughly 1 in 50,000 chance of 400x at the lowest tier
  • $1 million Legendary Shark starting bounty
  • Up to $1.5 million bounty prize from the Legendary Shark tier
  • Four Legendary levels
Ocean KO keeps the familiar PKO structure but adds considerably more variance to the bounty equation. It’s like a mystery bounty on steroids.

For players who already enjoy progressive knockouts, the format provides a simple new variable: every knockout can suddenly become much more valuable.
