WSOP Player of the Year

For decades, the WSOP calendar has been defined by distinct chapters: Europe in the spring, Las Vegas in the summer, and a winter series to close the year. In 2026, those chapters finally connect.

The World Series of Poker has announced a global Player of the Year race that spans all three major live festivals, backed by a $1 million prize pool and a revised points system designed to reward sustained results across the full season.

A Unified Player of the Year Format

The updated Player of the Year format brings together WSOP Europe, the Las Vegas summer series, and WSOP Paradise under one leaderboard. Points earned across all live bracelet events at these stops will count toward the final standings.

At the end of the season, the top 100 players will share in the $1,000,000 prize pool. The overall Player of the Year will earn an enhanced $100,000 WSOP Paradise package, reinforcing Paradise’s role as the season’s finale.

WSOP Europe Returns to Prague With Record Stakes

The 2026 season begins in Prague, where WSOP Europe runs from March 31 to April 12. The series features 15 bracelet events and is headlined by a €5,300 Main Event carrying a $10,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

That guarantee represents the largest announced for a European poker tournament in 2025 or later, underlining the WSOP’s renewed focus on Europe as a major battleground.

New for 2026 is the European Circuit Championship, a €1,500 No Limit Hold’em event with a €1.5 million guarantee, adding another key points opportunity early in the season.

Las Vegas Dates Locked In

The 57th annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas will run from May 26 through July 15, 2026. Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas once again host the summer series, which remains the largest points-earning stop in the Player of the Year race.

Paradise Decides the Title

WSOP Paradise returns from December 1 to December 18, 2026. With Player of the Year points still available, the winter series becomes the final proving ground for players chasing the top spot on the leaderboard.

Online Satellites Available

Players can qualify online for all three WSOP live series. International players can enter via GGPoker satellites, while U.S. players will qualify through WSOP Online.
