Exclusively found at GGPoker, GG Prop Bets are a unique feature designed to add another layer of excitement to the offering of the world’s largest online poker site.

GG Prop Bets allow players to make side-bets against each other on various outcomes beyond just winning a tournament. You can challenge your friends and play against strangers, or start a solo challenge simply to test yourself.

When you create or participate in a prop bet, you do so directly within the GG Poker client, where you can choose from a variety of different challenges.

GGPoker does not charge any fees when you make a prop bet. It is simply a service that is provided to enable players to wager between themselves. The host is simply the facilitator and settler of prop bets, like a referee or umpire.

Below you’ll find an overview of the different types of prop bets currently available and how they work.

    Last Longer Prop Bets

‘Last Longer’ bets are made between two or more players, who are wagering who will last longer in a poker tournament. The player who remains in the game the longest wins the bet.

This type of bet is popular for adding a competitive edge among friends during a tournament and at GGPoker you have the ability to set a password to control entry, enabling Last Longer bets to be either public or private.

You can challenge your friends or take on strangers for an extra level of interest in most tournaments.

The only tournament formats for which Last Longer bets are not available at GGPoker are satellites, Spin & Gold and GGThanks events. For almost everything else, Last Longer bets can be made.

The player creating the Last Longer challenge can choose the buy-in and pay-out structure for this side bet.

The minimum buy-in is 10% of the buy-in of the tournament and a maximum of 200%. For example, if you were entering a $20 MTT, the minimum price to enter into a Last Longer bet would be $2 and the maximum would be $40. Pay out structure can be the winner takes all, or be set up like a poker tournament, with a set percentage of the participants in the challenge receiving prize money.

    GGPoker Bankroll Challenges

    GGPoker Prop Bets

Bankroll Challenges are available in the Prop Bet section of the GGPoker app. In this format, a player sets a goal to increase their bankroll by a certain amount within a specified timeframe.

For instance, a player might bet that they can grow their bankroll from $50 to $100 within 10 days. Other players can then wager on whether or not that player will achieve his or her goal or not.

There are conditions that apply, such as excluding certain types of games and promotions from the challenge, but overall this is a flexible feature, with the minimum length of a challenge being just one day.

You can wager anything between $1 and $1000.

To set up a Bankroll Challenge, log in to your account and then:

    • Go to the Prop Bet section of the GG Poker app
    • Click ‘Bankroll Challenge’ and then select the games you wish to include
    • Set the blind limits
    • Select the start time, end time and the challenge amount
    • Choose the maximum number of bettors you will allow to bet against you
    • Set the odds

That’s it! Once you have set up the challenge, all you need to do is wait for players to take your bet.

To bet on another player’s Bankroll Challenge, the process is quite similar.

When you go to the Prop Bet section of the GGPoker app and have selected ‘Bankroll Challenge’, find a bet by viewing the upcoming challenges.

All you need to do then is choose the Bankroll Challenge you wish to bet on and then place your bet.

    GGPoker ELO Challenges

ELO Challenges are prop bets based on the GGPoker ELO rating system used in Spin & Gold games.

Players set targets to improve their ELO ratings within a specific period. The challenge is won by the player if he or she achieves the target ELO rating within the stated time frame.

If the player fails to achieve the target rating, the bettors win.

How to Create an ELO Challenge

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating an ELO Challenge at GGPoker:

    • Open the GGPoker app, log in and navigate to the Prop Bet section
    • Click on the ‘ELO Challenge’ tab
    • Select the start time, end time and target ELO ranking

That’s it. You’re good to go, good luck!

To bet on someone else’s ELO Challenge, the process is quite similar.

When you visit the ‘Prop Bet’ section of the GGPoker app and click on the ELO Challenge tab, you can view all upcoming ELO challenges.

Simply choose an ELO challenge to bet against and place your wager.
