WSOP Circuit Heads to Casino Malta with Exclusive GGPoker Qualifiers

GGPoker has announced the launch of exclusive online satellite tournaments for the inaugural World Series of Poker Circuit Malta event. 

Scheduled to take place at Casino Malta in St. Julian's from September 25 through October 5, 2026, the 11-day festival marks the first time the WSOP Circuit lands on the Mediterranean island.

Online satellite tournaments will run exclusively on GGPoker starting August 10, 2026, providing pathways for players across all bankrolls to compete for seats in the flagship €1,500 WSOP Circuit Malta Main Event.

The online qualifier structure on GGPoker opens on August 10 with options catering to every tier of player. Participants can access free freeroll qualifiers or enter real-money step satellite tournaments starting at €5.

These step tournaments lead into weekly €150 WSOP Malta Super Satellites. Each Super Satellite awards winning players direct entry into the €1,500 WSOP Circuit Malta Main Event, which takes center stage from September 30 through October 4.

Hosted at Casino Malta in St. Julian's, the festival features 12 official World Series of Poker gold ring events. In addition to the official ring tournaments, the 11-day schedule includes a variety of side events and round-the-clock cash games.

Casino Malta, situated along the Mediterranean coastline, is known for hosting large-scale continental poker tournaments. 

The venue is set to attract competitors from across Europe seeking top-tier tournament action alongside Malta's cultural attractions, coastal scenery, and nightlife.

Executives from both GGPoker and Casino Malta highlighted the significance of bringing the WSOP Circuit brand to the island destination.

In addition to earning an official WSOP Circuit gold ring and the champion's share of the tournament prize pool, every official ring event winner in Malta will receive an added prize.

Each of the 12 ring event champions will be awarded a $5,000 WSOP Paradise 2026 package. This package covers tournament buy-in costs and hotel accommodations, providing winners with a direct path to compete at WSOP Paradise later in the year.
